In Politics and the English Language, George Orwell says that language is "ugly and innacurate because our thoughts are foolish, but the slovenliness of our language makes it easier for us to have foolish thoughts.”  he is clearly trying to say that we make many awful mistakes when writing and are habits of using language is easy for us to make foolish thoughts.
