I'M SELF RELIANT

AUTHOR IN PROGRESS
After dissecting into Emerson's "Self Reliance" for like a week or more, I felt that that I did great but I felt that I could have done better. I felt that if I were to do a prewrite, it would have helped me to stay more organized and make my writing more sense, instead of just jumping into the questions. What I felt that I did well on the test was reversing the questions and using it to answer it.

Contibution to the MindMap
First I added quotes that I found intruiging. And defined it the way I saw it. And then I started to define some terms, to help those who needed a better understanding. And then I thought to myself what is the Emersons theme of self relience. I know its shown on the title but I wanted to know what others thought of what the theme was interpreted to them.  So I added Theme to the mind map.

MY AMERICAN VOICE
A huge component is knowing what to say. People often hold back and say nothing, when it really needs to be said. It could be when someone weak is being bullied or abused by someone strong, someone taking out their temper on another, when someone is cheating in a relationship or school, or someone is just being barbarous. Many people are afraid to speak up, they don't want to look foolish in front of many. Many think that hiding their voice is a wize decision to avoid a conflict, but it's not.
I for one think that speaking up is important, it's the right decision. Being silent won't help in the situation. It takes courage and responsibility to speak up. Many should speak up during a situation, be more than a bystander. Speaking up creates a major difference. In situations like someone being bullied, unkind, hot headed to someone, I speak up. I may look like a quiet person but when it comes to this i'm a whole different person. When I speak up I show anger. Ultimetely, speaking up is important than having to sit back and be silent when something needs to be told.

TEAM VOCAB
When it comes to the elections of this year many people can anticipate these two candidates to surely accuse each other from doings of the past. Each canadate tries to remain stolid but Hilary definitely outbeats trump. It's aggravating because trump and Hilary are constantly sticking their proboscis into everyone's business and venomously attacking each other. With each debate America is left suspended to watch the next one just to see the two yell at each other. Both Candidates try to hypnotize the world into thinking their fit to be president trying to prove that they can transform this world into something greater, but they simply just illuminate each other's faults.

TODAY I'M A GOOD HUMAN
Today, I helped out at the Special Olympics North Divisional Games. I helped pack 500 lunches for the 500 players. I love volunteering. I don't just do it because it makes it look good on my resume. I do it because I enjoy reaching out to my community. I love seeing those friendly faces. And I like it when they say thank you.  It makes me feel good inside, it makes me feel like a good human being. It keeps me away from all the stress, especially APUSH. I especially love meeting new people and making friends. I love volunteering.

Literature Analysis #2

1. For my second literature analysis I decided to read "Thirteen Reasons Why" by Jay Asher. When reading the short summary on the back cover of the book, I found it intriguing. I wanted to know what led Hannah Baker to commit suicide. I wanted to know more about her. Reading through the book, I thought that Clay Jenson (Narrator) was the reason why Hannah Baker committed suicide but it turns out he wasn't. Then why was he one of them to receive the tape?

2. What kept me reading more and more, was the short stories told by Hannah Baker about the people that caused he to commit suicide. Its interesting how all these people did wrong to Hannah without them even noticing it. Which hugely impacted her life and completely destroyed it. Sadly leading to her death.

3 Being assigned to read a book can take about a week or more or less. It depends the time you have. I know I can't finish a book in a week cause I have too much on my plate. But I kinda started to learn how to manage time. when  I come home, instead of watching television I read "Thirteen Reasons Why" cause I tell myself reading is almost like television. I vision the scenes in my head.

Essay 1 Revised
After reading my colleagues work and sharing ideas, I realized I could improve my essay by including more examples and check my grammar. I'm proud of the result. Hope you enjoy reading it!

Do you believe that a complete connection between people is more significant than an utterly love for one's country? I agree with E.M Fosters view that personal relations  are more significant than patriotism. Personal Relations is referred to as an immediate connection between family, friends, and partnerships. Family, the idea of family is a high priority; family comes first. Families are always there for you through thick and thin. Families always embrace their love for you. They are the individuals who have known you since the day you've laid your eyes upon this place we call earth. Friends, they are the ones who have know you for a long period of time. A friend is someone who you can talk to about a situation, they are the individuals you can trust and tell your deepest darkest secrets and they are always there to lend a hand. Partnerships, they are the romantic partners who are exceedingly close to you. Partnerships create this special bond of mutual affection. It's important to retain a personal relations, studies show that retaining a personal relation is healthy for one. Personal relation creates a long life span for one and it helps those dealing with stress. On the other hand, without a personal relation it can lead to a detrimental to your health and can lead to depression. Patriotism is the feeling of love and admiration for a nation. For instance, The Pledge of Allegiance is a showing that you care, admire and love your country. Not only does The Pledge of Allegiance show this great sense of pride but it's also "important" to teach the young in showing their pride for their country and to teach them that it's important to help your country. But one can get too carried away with patriotism leading to great dispute and breaking laws, when in fact they say they are very patriotic. More likely, patriotism can lead to war. I'm not patriotic, why show this sense of pride when "your country" doesn't even show the love and protect you garner from your family. Why stand for your country when it doesn't even stand beside you.  Ultimately, I agree with E.M Foster that personal relations is worldly than patriotism.
MENTOR LETTER DRAFT 1

Dear Christian huygens,
You are a great mentor for my big question. Although it was Galileo that first discovered Mars in a telescope. He did realize that Mars gets closer and more distant, and so larger and smaller in his telescope. But you were the one who did more observation to the planet Mars. You discovered that the planet Mars contained a strange feauture which was later called the Syrtis Major. I think that you will be a terrific person to answer my question about mars and the life of mars.
                                                                Sincerely,
                                                                       Jaqueline
