VOCAB #6
Meme- an element of a culture or system of behavior that may be considered to be passed from one individual to another by nongenetic means, especially imitation.
 There are over a hundred of memes that make fun of the presidential debate
Virus- a piece of code that is capable of copying itself and typically has a detrimental effect, such as corrupting the system or destroying data.
 Virus are caused by websites that one is not suppose to go.
Viral- relating to or involving an image, video, piece of information, etc., that is circulated rapidly and widely from one Internet user to another.
 Videos of clown sighting are going viral.
Blog- web log
 I for one have a blog that I post for AP English
Wiki- Collaborative
 Wikileaks is a wiki that publishes secret information
URL-  one type of Uniform Resource
 I sent my friend the url to the chemistry hw
Website-  location connected to the Internet that maintains one or more pages on the World Wide Web.
 I use the cpm website for when i don't have my textbook in class
www-  a system of Internet servers that support specially formatted documents
 the world wide web is useful to many
Internet- The global communication network that allows almost all computers worldwide to connect and exchange information
 The internet is world wide many use the internet daily. 2.0- used to denote a superior or more advanced version of an original concept, product, service, etc
 Facebook is like the 2.0 of myspace
Open Source- denoting software for which the original source code is made freely available and may be redistributed and modified.
 open source is helpful to one
