1. Nick is from the Midwest. He graduated at Yale and then went to war.
ReplyDelete2. Nick now lives in Long Island, NY in a place called West Egg. He describes it as being a place for the "old rich".
3.Tom and Nick were headed to NYC on a train. They stop because Tom wanted to introduce him to his mistress.
4.Tom's mistress is named Myrtle Wilson. She has a dull husband and a not so happy life so she searches for happiness by buying things and being with Tom.
5. Gatsby throws lavish parties in hopes that Daisy might show up. Whenever he talks to someone, he asks them if they know her. Gatsby is different because he is the only one who doesn't drink.
6.Some rumors about Gatsby are that he's a German spy, a bootlegger, a murderer, and that he attended Oxford.
7. Mr. Wolfshiem is a friend of Gatsby's. He was at lunch with Gatsby and Nick.
8. Gatsby and Daisy were separated at war. Daisy didn't know what happened to him so she married Tom.
