A Modest Proposal
"A Modest Proposal" by Jonathon Swift meets the criteria of satire. Swift advises that eating children and selling them in markets as food is a solution to aiding the Irish in their economic problems. He is clearly saying that people should be aware that there is a prodigious amount of children starving in their country and that no one is aware of this crisis.
